Looking to get involved this week? You can join ICE Out rallies and response trainings, connect with your neighbors through letter writing, and show up for community events.
Here’s our weekly round-up of upcoming events and actions:
Tuesday (March 3)
New Hampshire Democratic Party: Platform Hearings, (Virtual, 6-7 p.m.)
Throughout the month of February, the Platform Committee will be (virtually!) traveling across the Granite State to hear from residents about what they would like to see in the 2026 NHDP Platform.
Dartmouth College: The Loud Quitters – When Conscience and Career Collide, (Hanover, 5-6:40 p.m.)
The forum is an offshoot of Tuck Professor Josh Lewis’s Tuck course Moral Reasoning and he will moderate the session. Russel Muirhead, the Robert Clements Professor of Democracy and Politics, will introduce the evening, putting the event into context.
Wednesday (March 4)
American Friends Service Committee: No Nukes Advocacy Hour, (Virtual, 12-1 p.m.)
Join this one-hour advocacy action session, starting with a brief overview of the current policy moment and the stakes surrounding the end of the New START nuclear arms treaty. The session will provide clear guidance on taking meaningful action toward a nuclear-free world. Participants will contact their members of Congress using prepared talking points and step-by-step instructions.
New Hampshire Peace Action: Ceasefire Now!, (Hanover, 4-5 p.m.)
Vigil for a permanent Ceasefire Now! in Gaza and the West Bank on Ledyard Bridge between Hanover, NH and Norwich, VT.
Thursday (March 5)
Merrimack Town Council: Conversations with Councilors & Voter Registration, (Merrimack, 4:30-6:30p.m.)
Make Informed Decisions This Election Season! Stop by Town Council Office Hours to review and discuss what’s on the municipal ballot.
Open Democracy NH: Analyzing Power, (Hanover, 6-7 p.m.)
This workshop is the first in our series Your Passion, Your Leadership: A Workshop Series for Aspiring Women Advocates and will introduce participants to tools like power analyses and power mapping, helping leaders identify who holds influence in their respective communities, where gaps in representation exist, and how to strategically shift power in the direction of equity.
Mariposa Museum: Peterborough International Affairs Forum, (Peterborough, 7 p.m.)
Each program will focus on the most critical issue in American foreign affairs at the time. Moderators will present an overview, followed by a group discussion.
American Friends Service Committee: Meeting for Worship with Attention to Peace, (Virtually, 7:30 p.m.)
Every week, AFSC’s Quaker Engagement team hosts Meeting for Worship virtually for Friends from around the world. Following the practice of Quaker unprogrammed worship, participants gather to focus on witnessing injustice and strengthening solidarity with people facing oppression. The sessions offer an opportunity to explore and experience the spiritual dimensions of activism and social justice.
Friday (March 6)
American Friends Service Committee: Action Hour for Palestine, (Virtual, 12 p.m.)
Join AFSC staff every Friday to hear updates on what’s happening in Gaza. Then, take action and call Congress for a permanent cease-fire, arms embargo on Israel, and humanitarian access for Gaza.
Indivisible: Nashua Bridge Brigade, (Nashua, 2-4 p.m.)
Every Friday afternoon, weather permitting, members of Southern NH Indivisible and NHBB occupy the bridge at exit 6 in Nashua.
Saturday (March 7)
American Friends Service Committee: Crowned. A Community Hair Day, (Manchester, 9-5 p.m.)
This event is a way to support young hairstylists and barbers, who are just beginning. Join us for hair styling, food, resource sharing, crafts and community! Register today; braiding and barbering spots are filling up fast!
Auspicious Brew: Capital Letters: Write Letters to State Politicians, (Dover, 1-3 p.m.)
Enjoy an afternoon in community with beverages while writing letters to state representatives to ensure voices are heard. The goal is to flood politicians with mail until constituents cannot be ignored. Bring creativity and a commitment to a better world, and join the effort.
Sunday (March 8)
Occupy Seacoast: Civil Rights Sunday (Portsmouth, 12-4 p.m.)
Have an event to add? Email State Organizing Coordinator, Lily Jackson, [email protected] with details (please send details at least one week before the event).
