Across the nation, small towns often outshine big cities when it comes to burial spots, according to Choice Mutual. History buffs appreciate places like Gettysburg National, Arlington National, and Finn’s Point.
Many cemeteries also double as nature reserves, with scenic spots like Spring Grove in Cincinnati, Lakeview in Burlington, Vermont and Lone Fir in Portland, Maine offering tranquility amid natural beauty.
There’s also a mix of favored coastal and mountain settings. Cemeteries like Huguenot in Florida and Key West City reflect a salty coastal vibe, while Mountain View in South Dakota and Forestvale in Montana offer sweeping mountain views, suggesting people choose places that reflect their favorite landscapes.
