Hit the hills: Here are New Hampshire’s must-see summer music festivals

New Hampshire hills are alive with music festivals this summer. Grab your sunscreen, bug spray, and dancing shoes, and check them out.

Northlands Music & Arts Festival, Cheshire Fairgrounds, 247 Monadnock Highway, Swanzey, June 14-15 This is a boutique-sized festival with two days of carefully curated live music, art installations, local food and drink vendors, crafts, and children’s activities. The festival will feature more than 25 bands on three stages, including Brass Queens with Greensky Bluegrass, Jatoba, Pigeons, and Playing Ping Pong. Go here for a full lineup listing. Fans of classical performances might want to head to the 72nd New Hampshire Music Festival, on July 9-Aug.1, at Silver Center for the Arts, 114 Main St., Plymouth. The festival offers an immersive festival experience by presenting world-class performances of symphonic, choral, and chamber music. There will be live concerts throughout July and August. Mountain Music & Arts Festival, Melody Mountain Farm, 161 Tarleton Rd., Warren, Aug. 9 starting at 5 p.m. through August 10 at 11:45 p.m. with Joe Samba, Hayley Jane, The Ries Brothers, and more. Tickets are $90 and can be purchased here.

Revel in the Meadow, Aug. 10, noon – 10 p.m., Dover Elks Event Grounds, 282 Durham Rd., Dover, features 10 hours of live music from Pink Talking Fish, The Seacoast Last Waltz Band, Not Fade Away Band and others, art vendors, food, dancing, kids’ and adults’ activities, libations, and fun in the sun. Tickets are $42.00 for the day and $60.00 for day pass and camping.

White Mountains Boogie N’ Blues Festival, 2010 NH Rte 175, North Thornton, Aug. 16-18. This is the largest outdoor blues festival in the White Mountains, featuring award-winning artists, craft and food vendors, a climbing wall, fireworks, and activities for children. Local lodging and on-site camping are available. The Boogie Stage is a natural amphitheater on a 72-acre pasture in the Pemigewasset River Valley. Outlaw Music Festival Tour 2024, Friday, Sept. 20, 5 p.m. Bank of NH Pavillion, 72 Meadowbrook Lane, Gilford. The 2024 Outlaw Music Festival Tour features an unprecedented lineup including headliners Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, and Southern Avenue.
