Colorful kites will once again fill the skies over Hampton Beach as Exeter Hospital invites the community to come together for its annual Kites Against Cancer event on Sunday, June 7, near the Oceanfront Pavilion.

This inspiring seaside gathering, held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., offers a meaningful opportunity for individuals and families to honor loved ones, offer support, and find hope alongside others whose lives have been touched by cancer.

The event is free and open to the public. Kites are available at the Exeter Hospital Gift Shop and at the event for a $10 donation and can be personalized in memory or in honor of someone special.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Exeter Hospital’s Beyond the Rainbow Fund, which provides vital financial assistance to cancer patients facing everyday expenses such as groceries, utilities, transportation and housing costs. These resources help ease the burden of treatment so patients and their families can focus on healing.

The annual event is backed by the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce, a longtime community partner.

“Kites Against Cancer continues to be a powerful way for our community to come together in support, remembrance and hope,” said Eileen McDonald, senior director of Exeter Hospital’s Michael & Jeanne Falzone Center for Cancer Care. “It’s an uplifting day for those currently undergoing treatment and for those honoring loved ones, and it directly supports the Beyond the Rainbow Fund, which helps patients manage critical non-medical needs during a very challenging time.”
