The New Hampshire Biden-Harris campaign has announced the organization of several statewide State of the Union (SOTU) watch parties across New Hampshire, scheduled for the evening of President Joe Biden’s address tomorrow, March 7.
Watch parties are planned in Manchester, Dover, and Keene, with each starting at 8:45 p.m. The New Hampshire events are part of more than 200 watch parties the campaign is holding nationwide.
Communications director for the New Hampshire Biden-Harris campaign Marisa Nahem said the watch parties were a chance to see the sharp differences between the two leading presidential candidates.
“As Granite Staters gather to watch the State of the Union, they’ll see the stark contrast between President Biden’s historic accomplishments and his vision for the future and Donald Trump’s attacks on our fundamental freedoms, our economy, and our democracy,” said Nahem. “In the days to come, Biden-Harris for New Hampshire will continue to highlight President Biden’s work to lower costs and deliver for New Hampshire families and mobilize Granite Staters who are energized to reject Donald Trump’s extremism, just like we did last time.”

This event follows the successful write-in campaign of the incumbent president, which saw a swell of grassroots support for the president in New Hampshire that political insiders say has translated into a smoother, stronger start for the Biden team in New Hampshire than has been seen in previous campaigns.
These SOTU watch parties are part of the campaign’s efforts to highlight the Biden administration’s policy impacts in New Hampshire, which include the capping of insulin costs at $35 per month for Medicare beneficiaries, actions against the substance use disorder epidemic, and an investment exceeding $1.8 billion in the state’s infrastructure.
