“Dental care is healthcare. No American should be living with untreated dental pain because they can’t afford care.” Rep. The stakes are rising: DOJ recently narrowed how it interprets Olmstead v. L.C., the landmark ruling that’s long protected community-based care over institutionalization. The administration has also pulled 11 ADA guidance documents. Advocates warn that fewer protections could mean easier paths to institutional care… and weaker enforcement of the ADA itself.
