Ever wonder who’s allowed to watch what happens inside a New Hampshire polling place?

Poll observers can watch parts of the election process, and you don’t need any previous experience to become one. In fact, any member of the public who is at least 17 can serve as an observer.

🌄 Shoutout to Lynne Walsh for sharing this incredible view from her bunk at Lake of the Clouds Hut, just below Mount Washington, during an August Presidential Traverse trek.

⛰️ Fun fact: Lake of the Clouds Hut sits at 5,050 feet, making it the highest of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s White Mountain huts.

If it feels like you can’t turn on the TV, check your mailbox, or scroll online without seeing a political ad, you’re not imagining it.

Outside groups have already poured about $50 million into New Hampshire’s US Senate race between Democrat Chris Pappas and Republican John  Sununu.

That’s a whole lot of money being spent trying to get your attention, and potentially your vote.

So this week’s question is …

Are political ads actually influencing how you think about candidates?

Here’s what you’re saying:

“I don’t have cable television so I don’t see the ads. I occasionally watch something on YouTube so I will see ads there, which I find incredibly annoying. I don’t put any stock in the ads as I think they just glom onto any negative aspect about the candidate and run with it. I try to make informed decisions by listening to and reading reliable journalism.” — Jane Duggan
