Coffee, tea, and cats? The Tipsy Tabby in downtown Newmarket combines all three.
Owner Kaitlyn Ferretti opened the cafe after working at a veterinary dentistry practice in Atlanta, creating a cozy spot where visitors can grab a drink, get some work done, or spend time with adoptable cats.
🐾 How it works: The cafe itself is open to everyone, but you’ll want a reservation for the cat lounge. A 50-minute visit costs $14 for adults, $10 for kids ages 4-13, $1 for children under 4, and $12 for seniors and military members. Walk-ins may be available when there’s room.
☕ What’s on the menu: Coffee, tea, seasonal drinks, Taiwanese bubble tea, and baked goods from Sweetened Memories Bakery in Durham. You might even get some cat-themed latte art.
🏠 Meet the cats: The cats come from Manchester-based Darbster Kitty and are available for adoption. All have been spayed or neutered and are up to date on vaccinations.
⏰ Hours: Tuesday-Friday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; closed Monday.
🐱 Good to know: Some cats might want to play. Others might spend your entire visit asleep. As anyone with a cat knows, they make the rules.
