Every good summer hike needs an amazing view and a refreshing swim to cap off the trip.

Luckily, New Hampshire has some of the best swimming spots and most beautiful vistas in the country.

Travel + Leisure listed the best waterfall in each state in 2026, naming one Granite State locale near North Conway as the best waterfall in New Hampshire.

“Whether you want to check out the top spot on your home turf or go chasing waterfalls across the country, these are the best to visit in every U.S. state,” the publication said.

Here’s what you need to know about the New Hampshire waterfall of Diana’s Baths.

Diana’s Baths — Bartlett, New Hampshire

Travel + Leisure named this waterfall in the White Mountain National Forest as the best in the state because it’s both a beautiful display of nature and an opportunity for family fun in the water. It’s about a .6 mile walk from the parking lot to get to the pools.

“Diana’s Baths is composed of multiple levels of rocky pools and chutes that filter into kid-friendly swimming holes,” Travel + Leisure said.

Diana’s Baths also used to be the site of a sawmill owned by a family back in the 1800’s.

The North Conway website said that the water cascading down Diana’s Baths comes from Big Attitash Mountain. It’s a recommended spot for both locals and tourists.

“Diana’s Baths is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, though seasonal variations may affect specific times. The parking fee is $5 per car, payable at a self-serve kiosk, while on-foot entry is free,” the website said.

There are also toilet facilities available, the U.S. Forest Service said.

“The trail head is located on the left side of West Side Road about 2.5 miles north of North Conway village,” the forest service said. “The address for Diana’s Baths parking lot is 3872 West Side Road, North Conway NH 03860.”
