The documents may look official at first glance, but include obvious red flags—like misspellings (“Massachuseetts”), fake names like “John Smith,” and QR codes demanding immediate payment for supposed traffic violations. Officials say don’t scan anything or share personal info. Delete the message and contact courts directly if you’re unsure. Boston.com

🏀 Speaking of money … New Hampshire could see a hit to its sports betting revenue thanks to the rise of prediction markets. Platforms like DraftKings currently dominate legal wagering in the state (with more than $20 million expected during March Madness alone), but newer companies like Kalshi and Polymarket are offering alternative ways to bet on games—without sharing revenue with the state. Officials say the impact hasn’t been felt yet, but it could cut into funding down the line as the platforms grow. New Hampshire Public Radio

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on March 10 demanding a $1,745 refund for every household in the state to offset the financial impact of President Donald Trump’s tariffs. Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee followed suit shortly thereafter.
