Mark your calendars! Independent Bookstore Day is this Saturday, and a number of local bookstores across New Hampshire are joining the celebration along with 1,600 bookstores in all 50 states.

This isn’t your average bookstore visit. Think: author meet-and-greets, live music, cupcakes, scavenger hunts, kids’ activities, art tables, readings, barbecues, contests—and plenty more literary fun. Plus, there are exclusive books and goodies you can only get on this one special day.

Some of the highlights? Look out for:

✅ A signed special edition of Lightlark by Alex Aster

✅ A special edition of Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay

✅ A special edition of What You Are Looking For Is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama

✅ A signed edition of Hot Mess (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #19) by Jeff Kinney

✅ On Again, Awkward Again by Erin Entrada Kelly—signed, with a bonus embroidered patch

✅ Frog and Toad Coloring Book
by Arnold Lobel

And of course, there’ll be all kinds of bookstore swag—tote bags, T-shirts, hats, posters, stickers, and more.
