Mark your calendars—Record Store Day is Saturday and New Hampshire’s indie record shops are gearing up for a busy day.

Launched in 2008 by a group of passionate record store owners, Record Store Day has grown into a global celebration, while staying true to its roots—honoring the culture of independent music shops, fans, and artists who keep vinyl alive. Artists release exclusive, limited-edition vinyl and special reissues, often with surprise drops that can only be found at participating stores.

New Hampshire’s own Adam Sandler is swinging into action once again with "Happy Gilmore 2," set to hit Netflix later this year.We don't have a release date yet for the sequel (or many details at all), but Sandler, who grew up in Manchester, recently joined Kelce and his brother Jason on the New Heights podcast to talk about the film. It’s been 50 years since Saturday Night Live debuted on Oct. 11, 1975, with its first host, comedian George Carlin. You may not know that Carlin has a New Hampshire connection. He  summers at camp in New Hampshire as a kid, where he performed in talent shows. Now, nearly five decades later, the show remains a late-night TV staple and is marking its 50th anniversary with a three-hour special this weekend. Carlin isn’t the only SNL star with ties to the Granite State—Adam Sandler, Seth Meyers, Sarah Silverman, and Jimmy Fallon have also called New Hampshire home (or a home away from home).
