Dems to infuse cash into New Hampshire elections

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced a cash investment to boost the party’s early organizing ahead of 2025 municipal contests and the 2026 midterms.

DNC officials said the money will support hiring organizers, expand volunteer operations, and free up resources for paid communications—including direct mail, digital, and television. The infusion comes alongside what the DNC describes as a “historic” $1 million-per-month program to state parties nationwide to build campaign infrastructure earlier in the cycle.

Framing Republicans as “on defense,” the DNC tied the move to making the case against former President Donald Trump and New Hampshire Republicans’ agenda.

In its announcement, the committee pointed to what it calls Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill,” claiming it would remove health coverage from 32,000 Granite Staters. Organizers argued Trump’s tariffs are raising costs on small businesses and families.

DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement that the committee “won’t stand idly by as Republicans tear away at New Hampshire’s middle class,” adding the early dollars are aimed at winning key municipal races this November and laying groundwork for 2026.
