“Survivor” fans, get excited. The reality competition show returns for its 50th season this month, and it’s bringing back multiple contestants from New England, including a local favorite.
“’Survivor’ is a drug,” Seacoast New Hampshire native Aubry Bracco told Seacoastonline last month, when it became known she was going back on the show.
Titled “In the Hands of the Fans,” the milestone 50th season will feature returning all-star players and fan favorites in what promises to be the most competitive season ever. Out of the 24 returning players, three are from New England, including two from New Hampshire.
Here are all the New Englanders competing on the next season of “Survivor,” as well as how to watch the show.
‘Survivor’ Season 50 cast members from New England
Aubry Bracco
Aubry Bracco of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire will compete in “Survivor” for the fourth time after appearances in Seasons 32, 34 and 38, finishing second, fifth and fifteenth, respectively. Bracco will attempt to relive the glory of her early seasons as part of the Vatu tribe, where she will be joined by “Survivor” legends Colby Donaldson and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick.
Bracco is now married and raising a son in her home state of New Hampshire, and she plans to use the fact that she is a new mom to try to avoid others labeling her a target.
This season, Bracco says she will be “focusing on players as individuals, making 1:1 connections, and positioning myself as a level-headed friend and co-conspirator in a lineup of threats,” according to her cast bio. “No matter what I face I know I have the fire to overcome and have nothing to lose because I already have it all at home,” she added.
Jenna Lewis-Dougherty
Though she currently lives in California, Jenna Lewis-Dougherty is originally from Franklin, New Hampshire. The 47-year-old realtor will return for Season 50 after finishing in eighth place during Season 1 and third place during Season 8, another All-Stars season. This year, Lewis-Dougherty will compete with the Cila tribe alongside other returning favorites like Christian Hubicki, Ozzy Lusth and Cirie Fields.
In her cast bio, Lewis-Dougherty says that this time around, she will try to be more quiet, going against her self-proclaimed “loud and annoying” reputation.
“Everyone is here with their own redemption story playing in their heads. I have to convince them that I’m integral to theirs, while making the moves necessary to fulfill mine. I just have to shut my damn mouth,” Lewis-Dougherty said.
However, the Franklin native is also determined to prove herself this season.
“I feel like many people doubt I belong here, except as a ‘token’ player from season 1. I want to show them final 3 was not a fluke,” she said. “It’s the honor of my life to be asked back.”
Charlie Davis
27-year-old Charlie Davis is the only contestant that will represent Massachusetts on this season of “Survivor.” Born in Manchester, Davis currently lives in Boston, where he works as an attorney. After finishing in second place on Season 46, Davis is prepared to take more risks.
“I’ll take it day by day, moment by moment, and try to help make a great season on the way,” Davis said in his cast bio. “But make no mistake, I am always focused on winning. I didn’t come out here for second place again.”
Davis will get his chance at redemption as part of the Kalo tribe, alongside big names like Chrissy Hofbeck and Benjamin “Coach” Wade.
