We talked to Dartmouth students as they watched NH primary results come in

Studies show young people could be a force in the 2024 presidential election. CIRCLE, or the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement, found Gen Z, ages 18 to 26, will make up over 40 million potential voters— about one fifth of the American electorate. Around 8 million people have also newly reached voting age since the last election in 2022.

‘Guys Who Give a $hit’: A NH group supporting local charities in a big way

The men of about 150 men, who call themselves the Guys who Give a $hit, get together four times a year to nominate a charity they want to give money to. They contribute $100 each, have some cold ones, and select three charities at random out of a hat. Representatives from all three charities are invited to attend the meeting to make their best pitch for funding, then the guys vote for one to receive the evening's pool. The money, totaling around $15,000, is donated on the spot.

Jackson residents share what it’s like to face unprecedented flooding

Jackson was one of the hardest hit areas in Monday’s storm. About 6 inches of rain fell within  three hours, according to the National Weather Service. The rain, combined with snowmelt from warming temperatures, along with runoff from the mountain, led to an unprecedented amount of flooding in Jackson. Roads closed and schools dismissed students early.

Code blue in the classroom as NH nurses rush to save colleague
