Block Inc., the parent company of Cash App, agreed to a $45 million multistate settlement after an investigation found the company failed to properly screen users for scammers and made misleading safety claims. New Hampshire’s share is about $338,000, and the agreement also requires Cash App to maintain 24-hour customer support while continuing a separate $120 million consumer reimbursement program. WMUR

📜 Meanwhile, a rare New Hampshire copy of the Declaration of Independence has turned up more than 3,000 miles away …

A rare 1776 copy of the Declaration of Independence printed in Exeter has been discovered in Britain’s National Archives. Historians believe it was carried aboard an American privateer captured by the Royal Navy during the Revolutionary War. Only 11 Exeter copies are known to exist, and this is the first ever found outside the United States.  Portsmouth Herald
