A new analysis from All About Cookies, an informational website focused on online privacy, looked at the most popular romantic comedies in each state—and New England’s picks lean heavily on familiar classics.
Nationally, the musical “Grease” topped the list overall, ranking as the most popular rom-com in six states. “Coming to America,” “Paper Towns,” and “The Switch” followed close behind, each claiming the top spot in three states.
New Hampshire’s favorite rom-com is “The Wedding Singer,” a nod to local pride: the film stars Granite State native Adam Sandler as a 1980s wedding singer who falls for a waitress engaged to another man.
