Rural New England Needs EV Chargers to Keep Tourism Revenue Flowing. The Trump Administration Is Making It Harder to Build Them.

Assuming a “baseline scenario” where the Granite State installs 30% of the EV chargers needed to support tourism by early next decade, the study found that nearly 4 in 10 EV drivers and would-be tourists might not travel to the state due to “inadequate” charging infrastructure. This shortfall is behind the projected loss of  $1.4 billion in cumulative revenue that the study found could hit the state’s economy by 2031.
