Maggie Goodlander has secured the endorsement of three veteran members of Congress, her campaign announced today, adding to a growing list of in-state veterans and veteran groups that have backed the Goodlander campaign.
Representatives Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Seth Moulton (D-MA), both Marine Corps veterans, along with Representative Jason Crow (D-CO), an Army veteran, have announced their support for Goodlander’s campaign, citing her dedication to public service and her commitment to veterans and democracy.
Goodlander herself served as an intelligence officer in the US Navy Reserve for over 10 years, as well as an advisor for National Security and Foreign Affairs for Senator Joseph Lieberman
Rep. Ruben Gallego of Arizona in a statement said Goodlander’s deep military background gave her substantial credibility on issues concerning veterans.
“A veteran and dedicated public servant, Maggie is beyond qualified, having worked in all three branches of government, serving as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve and a law clerk on the United States Supreme Court. Maggie has stood up to big corporations, defended reproductive rights, and fought to defeat the opioid epidemic. I trust that she will carry on this essential work in Congress.”

Rep. Seth Moulton of Massachusetts highlighted Goodlander’s commitment to public service that followed her military career.
“From the Navy Reserve to the Department of Justice, Maggie’s proven herself to be a dedicated public servant whose career has focused on promoting democracy around the world. I am proud to endorse her campaign and look forward to serving alongside her in Congress.”
Goodlander has also received endorsements from two veterans running for New Hampshire State Senate; Matt McLaughlin, a Navy veteran and candidate for State Senate District 9, and Stu Green, another Navy veteran running for State Senate District 7.
“I was proud to serve 11 years in the Navy Reserve, and to help lead the Unity Agenda at the Biden-Harris White House to fulfill our sacred obligation to our veterans. I’m honored to have the support of so many leaders who know what it means to serve our country,” said Goodlander in response to the trove of new endorsements.
Goodlander’s campaign has also been endorsed by organizations like VoteVets, which works to elect more veterans to Congress. A substantial group of New Hampshire veterans has joined in endorsing her, including Ambassador Terry Shumaker (Army), Mike Atkins (Army), and Ellie Clement (Air Force).
