When it comes to spreading holiday cheer, New Hampshire shines brighter than most. The Granite State has been crowned the nation’s leader in Christmas spirit, according to recent studies.

In rankings by GetCenturyLink.com, New Hampshire claimed the No. 1 spot in both 2021 and 2022 for its impressive online holiday activity—locals came out on top of searches for elf on the shelf ideas, Christmas movies to stream, and Christmas songs to listen to. The state also stood out for its generosity in charitable giving and its abundance of Christmas tree farms per capita. In 2022, Wisconsin, Utah, and West Virginia joined New Hampshire in the top five, while Washington, D.C., Alabama, and Oregon had the least Christmas spirit.

Another study by Newsweek, using data from World Population Review, found similar results. Factoring in holiday shopping habits and charitable donations, New Hampshire once again came out on top, with Wisconsin, Utah, and West Virginia also earning festive recognition.

Some leaders have weighed in on the state’s holiday dominance. U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) told Newsweek: “With nearly 200 Christmas tree farms filling the air with the scent of fresh Balsam fir, it’s no surprise that the Granite State ranks number one for holiday spirit.”

Can our political state of affairs be explained by astrology?

Pluto is very slow moving. In fact, the last time Pluto was in Aquarius was between 1777 and 1798, a period that saw immense global change and upheaval. Want proof? The American Revolution occurred during that time and Thomas Jefferson also penned the U.S. Constitution.
