A beach day out on a lake can be just perfect.

New Hampshire is so full of beautiful lakes, it can be nice to go to a beautiful resort as a treat for you and the family on vacation. Travel writer Beth Luberecki from the Family Vacationist website named the 16 best lakeside resorts in the United States and found that one of them is in Meredith, New Hampshire.

“Perfect for everything from summer vacations to fall leaf peeping, with plenty of opportunities for togetherness, these are the top-rated lake resorts around the country for family getaways,” Luberecki said.

Here’s the New Hampshire lakeside resort that was called the third best to stay at in all of the U.S.

Mill Falls Resort Collection at the Lake — Meredith, NH

The Family Vacationist writer chose Mill Falls Resort Collection at the Lake for its lodgings – particularly the restored linen mill – and the excellent view visitors get of one of most gorgeous lakes in New Hampshire, Lake Winnipesaukee. The events available around the resort don’t hurt either.

“The all-season lakefront resort offers family-friendly amenities and activities like weekend campfires with s’mores, pontoon boat charters, lawn games, and watercraft rentals,” Luberecki said.

Going from May 15 though October, the resort is also offering the Winni Islands Cruise as well as the Sunset Boat Cruise, where you can experience Lake Winnipesaukee out on the water.

“You can enjoy views of the water from several of the lake resort’s restaurants or from the Outdoor Spa Deck at the on-site Cascade Spa,” the writer said.
