This week Congressman Chris Pappas launched the first television ad of his 2024 re-election campaign. The ad, which began airing today, underscores Pappas’s dedication to delivering on the issues that matter most to Granite Staters, including lowering healthcare costs, supporting small businesses, and advocating for veterans and their families.

So far the Republican field running against him — which includes a crowded primary featuring seven deeply conservative challengers — lacks a clear frontrunner.

Pappas continues to out-raise all Republican challengers in the race for NH-01. His campaign closed the second quarter with over $2.15 million in cash on hand, with contributions coming from every town in the district.

In the 30-second spot, Pappas emphasizes his efforts to make healthcare more affordable, highlighting his successful fight to cap the price of insulin at $35 per month and his work to reduce out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare. The ad also points to Pappas’ role in securing investments for New Hampshire communities aimed at lowering energy costs.

“Every day, Granite Staters roll up their sleeves and solve problems,” Pappas says in the ad. “Protecting our communities, caring for our families, and teaching our kids. And Congress should work the same way.”

Pappas also highlights his commitment to supporting small businesses and workers in New Hampshire. The ad notes his advocacy for research and development tax credits and the expansion of the child tax credit, both of which have been crucial in helping small businesses and their workers.

A central theme of the ad is Pappas’s unwavering support for veterans. The congressman spotlights his work on the PACT Act, which aims to ensure veterans exposed to toxic substances during their service receive the care they deserve. He also emphasizes his efforts to increase veterans’ benefits and maintain and expand critical VA services in New Hampshire.
